Connect Your First Integration
We will use Notion as an example since it has the simplest setup. The process is similar for other integrations.
- From your AskOro dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar
- Find Notion in the list and click Connect
- You will be redirected to Notion. Sign in if prompted
- Select which pages and databases to share with AskOro:
- Click Select pages
- Choose the workspaces, pages, or databases you want AskOro to index
- You can select your entire workspace or specific pages
- Click Allow access to complete the connection
What happens next: AskOro will begin syncing your Notion content. Initial sync typically takes 5 to 15 minutes depending on how much content you have. You will see a progress indicator in your dashboard.
Privacy note: AskOro only accesses pages you explicitly grant permission to. We never access your personal Notion workspace or any pages outside your selection.
Install the Slack Bot

Workspace admin required: If you are not a Slack workspace admin, you may need to request approval. Slack will guide you through the request process.
Ask Your First Question
Once your content is synced (check the dashboard for status), you are ready to ask questions.
In Slack:
Or in the AskOro web app:
- Go to your AskOro dashboard
- Type your question in the search bar
- Press Enter or click Search
Example questions to try:
- "How do I request time off?"
- "What are our brand guidelines?"
- "Who is the contact for IT support?"
- "What was decided in last week's product meeting?"
How responses work: AskOro searches across all your connected integrations, finds relevant documents, and generates an answer with direct links to the source material.
