Data and Privacy
What data does AskOro store?
AskOro stores indexed content from your connected integrations, including text content, document titles, and metadata needed for search. We also store your account information (email, workspace name) and usage logs for debugging and improving the service. We do not store passwords for your connected services. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Is my data shared between workspaces?
No. Each AskOro workspace has completely isolated data storage. Your data is never shared with, accessible to, or visible to other AskOro customers. This strict isolation applies to all indexed content, search queries, and account information.
What happens if I disconnect an integration?
When you disconnect an integration, all data synced from that integration is permanently removed from AskOro within 24 hours. The integration will no longer appear in search results. You can reconnect the integration at any time, and AskOro will re-sync the content.
Where is my data stored?
AskOro data is stored on secure, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure in the United States. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.2+.
Can AskOro employees see my data?
AskOro employees do not access customer data unless explicitly authorized by you for support purposes. Access is logged and audited. Our team may access aggregated, anonymized usage metrics to improve the service.
Syncing and Updates
How often does sync run?
AskOro syncs data from all connected integrations daily at 6:00 AM UTC. Initial syncs for new integrations begin immediately after you connect them and typically complete within 5 to 15 minutes, depending on how much content you have.
Can I trigger a manual sync?
Yes. Go to the Integrations page in your dashboard and click the sync icon next to any integration to trigger an immediate sync. Manual syncs are useful when you have recently added important documents that you need searchable right away.
Why is my recently added document not showing up?
New content appears after the next sync. If you added a document today, it will be searchable after the daily sync at 6:00 AM UTC, or you can trigger a manual sync from your dashboard. Initial processing may take a few minutes even after sync completes.
How long does the initial sync take?
Initial sync time depends on how much content you have. Most integrations complete initial sync in 5 to 15 minutes. Large workspaces with thousands of documents may take up to an hour. You can continue using AskOro while syncing is in progress.
Pricing and Plans
Can I try before buying?
Yes. AskOro offers a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start your trial. At the end of the trial, you can choose a plan that fits your team size and needs.
Which plan should I choose?
For individuals and small teams (up to 5 users), the Starter plan is usually sufficient. For growing teams (6 to 25 users), the Team plan offers better value. The Enterprise plan is for organizations needing advanced security, SSO, and dedicated support. Visit our pricing page for full details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Go to Settings, then Billing, and click Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days in case you want to reactivate, then permanently deleted.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer full refunds within 14 days of your first paid subscription if AskOro does not meet your needs. Contact support at hello@askoro.dev to request a refund. Monthly subscriptions are not refunded after the 14-day window.
Can I change plans?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you are charged the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Using AskOro
How do I get the best results from AskOro?
Ask questions in natural language, like you would ask a colleague. Be specific when possible. For example, instead of "vacation," try "what is our vacation policy for employees in California?" AskOro understands context, so you do not need special keywords or syntax.
Can AskOro answer questions about content from multiple integrations?
Yes. When you ask a question, AskOro searches across all connected integrations simultaneously and combines relevant information in a single response. Source links show you which integration each piece of information came from.
What if AskOro cannot find an answer?
If AskOro cannot find relevant information, it will tell you. This usually means the answer is not in your connected sources, or you may need to rephrase your question. Try using different keywords or check that the relevant integration is connected.
Can I use AskOro in multiple Slack workspaces?
Each AskOro account connects to one Slack workspace. If you need AskOro in multiple Slack workspaces, you will need separate AskOro accounts for each. Contact us for enterprise multi-workspace pricing.
Is there a limit to how many questions I can ask?
Starter and Team plans include generous usage limits that cover typical team usage. If you consistently hit limits, you may need to upgrade to a higher tier. Enterprise plans include unlimited queries. Check your current usage in your dashboard settings.
Security and Compliance
Is AskOro SOC 2 compliant?
Yes. AskOro maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. We undergo annual audits by independent third-party auditors. Enterprise customers can request our SOC 2 report.
Does AskOro support SSO?
SSO (Single Sign-On) with SAML 2.0 is available on Enterprise plans. We support integration with Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, and other major identity providers. Contact sales to discuss SSO setup.
How do I report a security issue?
If you discover a security vulnerability, please email security@askoro.dev. We take security reports seriously and will respond within 24 hours. We appreciate responsible disclosure and do not take legal action against good-faith security researchers.
