FAQ
Yes. They serve different use cases. If your team already uses Slack and Notion heavily, AskOro handles that layer. If you have compliance-sensitive data in AWS S3, Amazon Q Business can cover that. They're not mutually exclusive.
Does AskOro work without an AWS account?Yes. AskOro runs on its own infrastructure. You don't need an AWS account, an IAM role, or any AWS services to use it.
Is there a way to get Amazon Q Business cheaper? The Lite tier ($3/user/mo) is cheaper but restricted to search and summarization. The Pro tier ($20/user/mo) is required for creating content, taking actions through plugins, and the full Q developer experience. For most teams wanting real knowledge search, you end up in Pro.
What integrations does Amazon Q Business NOT support natively?Amazon Q Business focuses on the AWS and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. It does not have native connectors for Notion, GitHub, or Slack messaging (you can connect Slack content via S3 export but not live Slack search). AskOro has native OAuth integrations for all three.
How does pricing change as my team grows? With Amazon Q Business, costs scale with headcount. With AskOro, the $49/mo Team plan covers your team regardless of size. The pricing doesn't change when you add the 20th or 50th person.
